Evan C. Tompkins is an attorney in Tiffany & Bosco’s litigation group, where he represents clients in civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts throughout Arizona.
A fifth-generation Phoenician, Mr. Tompkins earned his Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. During law school, he was recognized as an O’Connor Fellow, CALI Award Winner, and Pedrick Scholar. He earned Rule 38 certification, enabling him to represent clients in court as a student practitioner. His legal training included advocating before the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency and drafting appellate briefs submitted to the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Arizona Supreme Court. He also completed trial advocacy certification and received pro bono honors for his service.
Mr. Tompkins is admitted to practice in all Arizona state courts as well as the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. He has received numerous awards such as: The National Trial Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40” and recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for multiple years. He currently serves on the Criminal Revised Arizona Jury Instructions Committee and previously served on the Scottsdale City Court Domestic Violence Workshop Group.
Dedicated to advancing the legal profession, Mr. Tompkins is a regular guest speaker at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where he presents to third-year law students on firm expectations and the transition into practice. He has also provided legal commentary for local news outlets, including ABC 15 and Fox 10.
Mr. Tompkins received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Bemidji State University. A standout student-athlete, he was a football team captain, First Team All-American, and was named both Male Student-Athlete of the Year and Political Science Graduate of the Year. He also served on the University’s President’s Student Commission.
Outside the office, Mr. Tompkins enjoys golfing, recreational soccer, and cooking. He is an avid sports fan and Green Bay Packers shareholder who makes an annual trip to Lambeau Field for a home game.
