Education
After obtaining his law degree at CSU Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2014 and passing the bar exam, Brett operated a solo practice for several years, focused on real estate transactions and title matters, eviction, debtor defense, short term rentals, and land use and zoning (taking one such zoning case to Ohio’s 11th District Court of Appeals and winning). He joined Reimer Law Company in 2023 as a foreclosure attorney and is now proud to call Tiffany & Bosco his home.
Brett brings with him over 20 years of experience in the mortgage lending industry. His roles have included Loan Closer, Escrow Manager, and Manager of the Residential and Commercial Loan Closing Department at a community bank. While at the bank, Brett was manager in charge of Regulation Z and flood insurance compliance. He also redesigned the bank’s collateral valuation policy, procedures, and controls, in response to evolving banking regulations.
Brett approaches life’s challenges, as well as the practice of law, with gratitude, optimism, a healthy sense of humor, and a genuine desire to serve. At no time was this attitude more helpful than in his undertaking of law school as a father of seven children (ranging in age from 6 to 16 years old) and still managing to graduate in four years with honors. Now that these children are all adults, Brett sometimes finds time to play the guitar, read a good book, bang on the drums, and most importantly enjoy his family, which now includes grandchildren.
