Biography

Callie J. Channell loves a challenge so after a career in Social Work and Dance, she started her legal career going to law school, working full-time as a law clerk, and having a baby during her first semester. She joined the Reimer Law firm (now acquired by Tiffany & Bosco) in 2009 as a litigation law clerk and stayed on as an attorney from 2012-2018. She formerly practiced in the foreclosure area and managed the firm’s Loss Mitigation, Deeds-in-Lieu, Lit-Contested and Payoffs/Reinstatements departments.

During her few years away from the firm, Ms. Channell continued her real estate practice in a boutique HOA/Condo law firm and then went on to become the Deputy Law Director for a mid-sized City in Ohio. There, she gained significant experience with State and Federal regulations, transactional work, litigation, bankruptcy, municipal law and real estate matters. She returned to the firm in 2022 to lead the firm’s multifaceted Compliance efforts.

Ms. Channell earned her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 2012 and her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Akron in 2000. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and the Northern District of Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.

Ms. Channell has been a presenter on creditors’ rights issues at various default industry events and continuing legal education seminars.

When not at work, you can catch her singing in a band somewhere in Northeast Ohio or teaching dance moves to anyone who’s ready to learn. She is trained in jazz, tap, ballet, modern and ballroom. Callie’s favorite regional theater role was a Hot Box Girl in Guys and Dolls, in Torrance, CA.
