Brent A. Powers grew up in Maryland, but has been a “snow-bird” in the Valley since 2007. Brent moved full time to Arizona after graduating with a Certificate of Taxation from Penn State Dickinson Law. During law school, he served as Executive Editor for Digital Media of the Dickinson Law Review and President and Revitalizer of the Jewish Law School Student Association.
Brent previously worked at a firm in the West Valley primarily focusing on zoning and homeowners’ association matters. Brent understands the development process as his family was involved in land development and residential home building. Brent flourishes with anything related to the development process from start to finish including, but not limited to, subdivision, rezoning, site plan approvals and entitlements, and variances and conditional use permits.
Brent is engaged with the development and municipal communities. During law school, Brent was on the Carlisle Borough Council as the Student Ambassador and was a member in the Land Use Reform Subcommittee focusing his efforts on approving an ordinance for accessory dwelling units. Brent is now currently a member in the Urban Land Institute Arizona Chapter, and participates in the AzTAP Committee, which gives advice to municipalities with difficult development and planning issues.
When Brent is not practicing law, he loves to partake in gastronomy, travel, hiking, and play any sport that involves a racket.
