BIOGRAPHY

Judge Padish served on the bench of the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County for over six years before joining our firm in 2003. He was previously engaged in civil and criminal litigation, in Chicago and, later, Arizona. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1981, the Indiana bar in 1982 and the State Bar of Arizona in 1987, and the United States District Court, District of Arizona in 1989. He has extensive and versatile trial experience, both as a judge and a lawyer and has conducted hundreds of trials, including commercial cases, medical malpractice, mental health, capital murder, insurance fraud, tax evasion and divorce. His practice is concentrated in litigation, including complex divorce matters, civil, as well as white-collar criminal defense. He also offers his services as a mediator and arbitrator in civil and family law cases. Judge Padish is a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois, representing the State and the Governor in proceedings in Arizona. Judge Padish formerly was on the Board of Directors of D.N.A.-People's Legal Services, Inc., a not-for-profit legal organization serving Native American clients in the Four Corners area of the Southwest. He is a past member of the Thurgood Marshall and Lorna Lockwood Inn of Court. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the McCormick Ranch Little League. He is the former chair of the Maricopa County Bar Association's Professionalism Committee, and is a frequently requested speaker at legal ethics seminars.
