BIOGRAPHY

Chris' practice is focused on the representation of creditors and debtors in complex commercial bankruptcy matters, creditors rights, commercial litigation and general corporate and commercial transactions. Chris has represented public companies, private businesses, creditors committees and individuals in commercial bankruptcy cases, State Court matters and transactional negotiations in Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Utah, Delaware and California. Chris is a former member of the governing Council of the General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Section of the American Bar Association and a past Chair of that Section's Bankruptcy Committee. He is also a member of the ABA's Joint Ad Hoc Committee on the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Process.

Chris served as a Law Clerk in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona, during 1992 and 1993. Recently, Chris has authored "Helping Your Creditor Clients Avoid Financial Disaster Before and After the Bankruptcy of Their Debtors," The Arizona Business Lawyer, June, 2003; "The Deepening Insolvency Theory and the In Pari Delicto Defense," American Bar Association, General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Section, Seminar Materials, August, 2003;"Good Faith, Bad Faith, You Just Gotta Have Faith: Defeating a Debtor's 'Bad Faith' Defense in an Involuntary Bankruptcy Case," Maricopa County Bar Association, April 2004, Seminar Materials. Chris has also been a lecturer for the following programs: "Counseling Your Client Regarding Mexican Commercial and Bankruptcy Law: A Practical Approach to Doing Deals in Mexico," "The Fundamentals of Commercial and Consumer Bankruptcy Laws and the Impact of the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1994," American Bar Association Annual Meeting, 1995; "The Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1994," State Bar of Arizona, 1995; "What Your Creditor Client Can Do To Avoid Financial Disaster: Rights, Remedies & Liabilities Arizona In The Days Before A Bankruptcy Case," Maricopa County Bar Association, May, 2003; "Business Bankruptcy for the Rest of Us," American Bar Association Annual Meeting, August, 2003; "Involuntary Bankruptcy: A Rational Option?," Maricopa County Bar Association, April 2004. Chris has also worked extensively with several volunteer and charitable organizations in Arizona including: Phoenix Active 20 30 Club; the Phoenix Forum (a nonpartisan public affairs forum); A & A Cottages (owner of homes for troubled teenage girls).
